SO HOT ... SO FREAKIN' HOT

So Meg and I got back to my house yesterday afternoon and as I walked in the front door I thought to myself, "hmmm, it feels much hotter than usual in here." I went to check the thermostat and the temp inside the house was 87. My A/C has been on the fritz for a little while now. I've had a hard time getting it to cool properly during the daytime, but it never goes all the way up to 87. Something was wrong. Terribly wrong. And of course it would happen on a weekend when the A/C place isn't open and it would happen on what was most likely the hottest day of the year so far. Misery I tell you. Misery. So I got a fan from Wal-Mart lastnight and toughed it out. It was not fun and I've tried to stay out of the house as much as possible today (sometimes difficult as I work from home) but now I have to be here waiting for the A/C repair man. I'm starting to sweat. I have on work clothes. I don't like this. And I'm praying to the A/C gods that it doesn't cost too much to fix. My luck would be something with at least 4 figures. That's just how things go for me. So here's to hoping. And here's to the A/C getting a move on and getting over here. It's so hot!
