She pulls her bluejeans on
Husband and kids at home
He wakes up as she's leaving
And asks if it was the last time
She cries 'cause it's not the last time.

So sing the music in your head
That they play in the movies
To make the ordinary grand
When they're riding in their cars
Just staring out the window
While the music is playing on

He drives his mother home
The sound of funeral songs
Are stuck inside his head
And he knows it was the last time
He cries because it's the last time

And everything I see
Is not how it was meant to be
And everything I need
Is right here in the movies.
