SOME THINGS I WATCHED ON TV LASTNIGHT ... AND ONE THING I DIDN'T

King of the Hill - man I love this show. My affection for it has just happened within the past few months. I'm not sure if I like it because it's so well written or because of its relevance to my life. Either way, this is one of my favorite shows right now and you can usually find me watching an episode or two after work on most days.

Dateline NBC "To Catch A Predator" - how many episodes of this are they going to do? It was funny lastnight because several of the guys who got arrested said they were afraid that would happen because they had seen the Dateline NBC show before. How big of an idiot can you be to fall for that? It's so uncomfortable to watch this show, yet somehow it's hard to turn it off. Most of the discomfort is from the realization that people like this are out there and are doing this ... a lot. You know they only catch a very small percentage of people who engage in this type of activity so there obviously must be thousands of cases of older men going to the houses of these young girls they meet on the internet. Another disturbing thing about this is when you realize that most of these guys are the types of guys you see everyday. They did an update tonight about a rabbi that was caught. They had another guy who was a volunteer worker at his church. Crazy stuff. Chris Hansen ... your show disturbs us all, but keep up the good work.

Matt Lauer interviews Debra LeFave - This chick is crazy. Not like wild crazy. More like straight jacket crazy. How do you get yourself in that sort of position? During the interview I thought she had shoes with straps that came up over the ankle. Turns out it was the tracking device she has to wear on her ankle for the next 10 years. By the way, why is she not in jail? All the guys on Chris Hansen's show were going to jail. Why not her?

NFL Network - holy crap. I've had this channel all along and didn't know it. I feel like a little less of a man for not realizing this until now. It's channel 180 though. I like to flip with the remote, but not that high. So I'll probably be watching a lot more football now ... if that was possible.

Rangers game - so the Rangers suck and are pretty much out of the race. It pains me to even watch them anymore so if the game is on I usually catch the first inning or two and then move on to something else. This was the case lastnight. Of course no big deal ... unless you consider Gary Matthews Jr. hitting for the natural cycle. That's a single, double, triple and homerun in that order. The cycle is one of the rarest things in baseball and the natural cycle has only happened about 15 times in the history of baseball. But I was watching freakin' Debra LeFave. Stupid Rangers.
